LA County's Premier Water Stage
Acton Water Stage is California’s purpose-built underwater filming facility — a 5-acre controlled production environment located just 45 minutes from Los Angeles, engineered exclusively for film, television, and commercial work.
Our Comprehensive Production Services
Acton Water Stage and Scuba Services utilizes 5 acres of private ranch property to create the perfect site for your underwater sequence.
Located in Acton, near Santa Clarita Valley, the site is conveniently close to the Los Angeles metropolitan areas. This water stage was designed to afford not only ample surface space, at 42 feet long and 24 feet wide, but also incorporates a natural undulating slope of gray tones in the 16-foot-deep end, simulating ocean or lake floors. Recessed tie-downs are built into the walls and bottom for equipment restraints and/or black, blue, or green water solid screens. The spacious open deck surrounding the pool can facilitate surface booms, techno cranes, lighting, grip equipment, and camera support. An above-water truss system is also available. The ranch property provides 5 acres of ample parking for your crew and support, providing easy access to the water stage.
Acton Water Stage and Scuba Services can coordinate, facilitate, and oversee all of your marine and scuba needs. The facility has highly qualified technical staff (IATSE Local 80) available for your underwater grip and safety support. Upon request, underwater camera operators can also be provided. A well-maintained high-pressure air compressor system is on-site for scuba cylinder air fills. Scuba cylinders, hookah lines with regulators, buoyancy compensators, flotation devices, special effect bubble bars, an underwater communications system, and much more are also on hand. We work closely with professional vendors to supply any other equipment needed, such as underwater camera housings and lighting accessories.
Acton Water Stage and Scuba Services looks forward to helping you bring your visionary underwater concept to life!
